“Glitch Pigeon is a small thing, but it found me at just the right time to make me think about how and why I read about the lives of people I’ve never met.” – review from Cai Wingfield
Made with George Buckenham as part of a residency at Oxford Playhouse. Oxford Playhouse invited me to go there for an open ended residency and make something – anything, or even nothing, for a week, with support and a fee. So I asked if I could use it as an opportunity to try out a new collaboration. I invited George Buckenham and we spent the first 3 days playing with ideas and paper prototypes and working out what interests we share, and what we might want to make.
Then in the final 2 days they worked one of them up into a playable prototype. It started out about glitch culture as a way of uncovering capitalism, but it turned out the most interesting thing about it was making a pigeon eat stranger’s electronic communications, so we focussed on that. (Actually there’s something still kind of rad about using the game to uncover the invisible messages of strangers we live alone together with)
You can download and play the product of the 2 day’s work on that idea over here.

Amazing blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere?
A design like yours with a few simple tweeks would really make my blog jump out.
Please let me know where you got your theme.
Thanks

Do you have any points for first-time blog writers?
